The Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Studies (JECS) is an open access journal. Authors retain full copyright and all publishing rights to their work.
Copyright and License
- Authors retain unrestricted copyright and all publishing rights to their articles.
- Articles published between 2014–2025 are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Articles published from 2026 onwards are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
- Authors grant the publisher the non-exclusive right to publish the article, to be cited as its original publisher in case of reuse, and to distribute it in all forms and media.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their paper (preprint, author's accepted manuscript, and published article) in:
- Institutional repositories
- Non-commercial subject-based repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, Europe PMC, arXiv, SSRN, and similar)
- Personal websites and departmental websites
- Social networking sites for researchers (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
When depositing, authors must acknowledge the publisher as the original source and provide a link to the article's DOI.
