The publisher of the Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Studies (JECS) is committed to supporting ethical publishing practices and maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. In collaboration with the editorial team, the publisher ensures that all published content meets high academic and ethical standards.

Publisher Responsibilities

  • Editorial Independence: Support the editorial team in maintaining the independence of editorial decisions. Ensure that commercial or financial interests do not influence editorial policies or decisions.
  • Ethical Standards Compliance: Ensure that the journal operates in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards, including those established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).
  • Technical Infrastructure: Provide the necessary technical infrastructure for manuscript submission, peer review, publication, and digital archiving.
  • Digital Preservation: Ensure that published articles remain permanently accessible through reliable digital preservation systems and archiving services (e.g., LOCKSS).
  • Policy Transparency: Maintain transparency in journal policies, including publication ethics, peer review procedures, author guidelines, and publication fees.
  • Misconduct Response: Support the editorial board in addressing allegations of research misconduct, plagiarism, or ethical violations in accordance with established ethical guidelines.
  • Corrections and Retractions: Facilitate the publication of corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
  • Confidentiality Protection: Protect the privacy and confidentiality of authors, reviewers, and editors throughout the editorial and publication process.
  • Open Access and Dissemination: Promote accessibility and dissemination of scholarly research through open access publishing and responsible dissemination practices.
