The Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Studies (JECS) supports the broad dissemination of research. Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their work in a variety of repositories and platforms.

Permitted Repositories & Platforms

Authors may deposit all versions of their paper in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject-based repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, Europe PMC, arXiv, SSRN)
  • Personal websites and departmental websites
  • Academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

This includes the submitted version (preprint), accepted version (post-print), and the published version (Version of Record).

Attribution Requirements

When self-archiving, authors must provide:

    • Full bibliographic information: authors, article title, journal title, volume, issue, pages
    • Digital Object Identifier (DOI): a link to the article's DOI on the journal website
    • License information: a link to the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license

Acknowledgment of the journal as the original publisher is required.
