Self-Archiving Policy
The Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Studies (JECS) supports the broad dissemination of research. Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their work in a variety of repositories and platforms.
Permitted Repositories & Platforms
Authors may deposit all versions of their paper in:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-based repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, Europe PMC, arXiv, SSRN)
- Personal websites and departmental websites
- Academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
This includes the submitted version (preprint), accepted version (post-print), and the published version (Version of Record).
Attribution Requirements
When self-archiving, authors must provide:
- Full bibliographic information: authors, article title, journal title, volume, issue, pages
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI): a link to the article's DOI on the journal website
- License information: a link to the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license
Acknowledgment of the journal as the original publisher is required.
JECS encourages authors to maximize the visibility and impact of their research through responsible self-archiving.
